Yasmine El Meleegy

This work is part of an ongoing project which engages with the legacy of the late Egyptian sculptor Fathy Mahmoud.

El Meleegy positions industrial porcelain molds as possible symbols of both the reparation of personal objects and broader societal reform, examining the intersections between objects and their histories—a cup of tea and a national narrative.
